Dentist
Aidan has called Whangarei his home for more than two decades now, residing here with his wife and family.
He is an alumnus of King’s College University of London and has been passionately providing dentistry to his patients since 1992.
Aidan has a passion for aesthetic dentistry, providing procedures such as teeth whitening, veneers and smile-makeovers. His dedication to precision and patient satisfaction ensures stunning, natural-looking results.
He ensures that his patients understand all the available treatment options, and strives to exceed expectations by providing personalised treatments in a friendly and gentle manner. This aligns perfectly with Dental North’s commitment to delivering high-quality dental care.
As a mentor and member of the NZDA Graduate Mentorship Scheme, Aidan shares his expertise and skills gained through professional development courses and years of experience since graduating.
In his leisure time, he enjoys cooking, hiking, biking, snorkelling, the odd bit of DIY around the house, and of course, relaxing at the beach.

Oral Health Therapist/Hygienist
Kri is one of our bubbly and friendly Oral Health Therapists.
Kri comes to us from Melbourne, Australia, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Oral Health Therapy and has previous experience using the airflow system, known for its gentle yet effective cleaning.
Kri is available on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at our facility, while she works as a community dental therapist on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Kri grew up in New Zealand, she and her husband decided to make Whangarei their home in 2022.
Kri has a passion for travel and utilizes her holiday time to explore New Zealand and other international destinations.

Hygienist
Julie is one of our gentle and empathetic hygienists.
Originally from Canada, she obtained her hygienist certification from the Canadian Institute of Dental Hygiene in 2011 and later pursued further studies at the University of Otago in 2012. These qualifications have equipped her with the necessary skills to provide meticulous hygiene care to her patients.
Julie's approach to dental hygiene is contemporary, and she continuously seeks opportunities to enhance her techniques.
She resides in Maungatapere with her husband, a local man, and their young family.
Besides being an excellent dental hygienist, Julie is also a skilled cook and was the owner of Keto Smart Bakes. Furthermore, she's an avid Pilates enthusiast and has completed an instructor course.
We consider ourselves fortunate to have such a multi-talented individual as a part of our team.

Oral Health Therapist/Hygienist
Catherine, both gentle and caring, is one of our Oral Health Therapists
Catherine, of Irish descent, is originally from London and moved to Northland in 2007 with her husband Paul. After working as a dental assistant in Kaitaia, Catherine decided to follow her passion for dentistry and further her education as an oral health therapist at the Auckland University of Technology, graduating in 2011.
Catherine and our dentist Megan have worked together for over 10 years, and they are both delighted to be back together again. Catherine is gentle and meticulous and to know her is to love her.
Catherine is an animal lover and has adopted many rescued animals over the years. Her hobbies include tap and salsa. Catherine is also a registered marriage celebrant and conducted the wedding ceremony of our very own practice manager, Kaitlyn.

Practice Manager
Kaitlyn works closely with Megan, James and our staff to ensure the day to day running of Dental North is smooth and efficient.
You may see her at the reception desk or speak with her on the phone. Kaitlyn is responsible for managing daily operational procedures, as well as handling financial and administrative duties.
Kaitlyn finds fulfillment in engaging with patients and overseeing the coordination of our dynamic team.
Kaitlyn and her husband, are the fifth generation of her family to call Maungakaramea home. They reside here with their dog Olive, and assortment of farm animals. They deeply appreciate the rural lifestyle and the sense of community it provides for them.

Receptionist
We are privileged to have Kate as one of the friendly faces at Dental North.
With more than 10 years of experience in medical administration, her presence on our team is invaluable. Kate is deeply committed to assisting others and takes pleasure in providing exceptional service to our patients, whether it be on the phone or at the front desk.
Kate is a delightful addition to our practice.
Kate resides in Whangarei with her husband. During her free time, she enjoys wining, dining, dancing and exploring the Northland coastline with her loved ones and friends.

Dental Assistant
Kim's experience in the dental industry spans over 23 years, during which she has become a qualified Dental Assistant (NZDA).
Kim is a proud mum of two boys. Kim and her active family enjoy various activities such as running, mountain biking, and water sports.
Kim is well-versed in all aspects of dentistry and can be found at various stations, whether chairside, in the lab/sterilization area, or at the front desk. Her exceptional organizational skills and efficiency are admired by all who work alongside her.
With her extensive knowledge, Kim provides valuable support to our team in various capacities. We consider ourselves privileged to have her as a member of our team.

Receptionist/Administrator
Molly is an integral member of Dental North's team, greeting patients with warmth and providing exceptional service as a receptionist.
Molly's infectious sense of humor and laughter bring joy to our workplace and contribute to the friendly atmosphere at Dental North.
Outside of work, Molly enjoys spending time with her beloved sausage dog, Sir Geoffrey, and practicing Pilates and yoga.
Originally from England, Molly has embraced her new home in beautiful Northland with enthusiasm.

Receptionist/Dental Assistant
Carrie has been in the dental industry for over 3 decades, making her one of Northland's most experienced dental assistants.
Carrie is compassionate and caring and she loves helping nervous patients feel at ease. She is a gorgeous person with a big heart and we know she will contribute positively to your dental experience.
Carrie is a qualified dental assistant. She also helps in our sterilisation centre and is one of our receptionists.

Alice has worked as Megan’s Dental Assistant for over 7 years.
She is a qualified Dental Assistant (NZDA) and with more than 15 years of dental experience, she is an asset to our team.
Her impressive expertise, coupled with her kind and empathetic nature, ensures patients feel at ease during their dental procedures. Alice's calm, considerate, and humorous disposition is an added benefit to our patients.
Alice resides locally, with her husband and three children. She enjoys a range of activities with her sporty family, such as playing hockey, boating, and spending time at the bach.

James is fortunate to have Kenyah as his compassionate and attentive dental assistant.
Kenyah completed her NZDA Certificate in Dental Assisting in 2023.
She brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to her everyday work, ensuring patients receive the best possible care. Additionally, her previous experience in medical administration allows her to assist the team at the front desk when needed.
When not at work, Kenyah finds joy in cultivating fresh vegetables in her garden. She also enjoys spending time at the beach.
